Nuchal translucency (NT) measurement in association with first trimester
biochemistry has been shown to be an excellent screening modality for
chromosomal abnormalities in the fetus. The Maternal Fetal Medicine Foundation (MFMF) recognizes the need for quality assurance in the area of first trimester risk assessment and presents this educational course with the Institute of Advanced Medical Education on the theories and techniques involved in obtaining accurate NT measurements. This program is designed for physician sonologists and sonographers and meets the education course requirement component of credentialing by the MFMF.
