RYE, NY, Sept. 25, 2006 /PRNewswire/ -- The Institute for Advanced Medical Education (IAME) today announced the hire of Linda L. Martin as Editorial Director. Martin was the former Director of Public Relations for the American Red Cross in Westchester County where she was a member of the communications team during the turbulent post-9/11 period.
"Linda's distinguished career in community service, as well as her vast experience in the communications industry, will be a great asset to IAME's innovative new outreaches," said Irwin Kuperberg, President and CEO of IAME. "We are honored to welcome her to IAME."
"The addition of Linda to our team comes at a time when we are advancing our continuing medical education (CME) programs with interactive learning tools, enhanced Internet teaching formats and the creation of communities of learning. Linda will oversee many of these new initiatives," said Kuperberg.
Martin will be responsible for overseeing editorial content in all of IAMEs print and electronic publications, including the IAME website, www.iame.com. She will also manage the rollout of four sister websites this winter. These websites will cover stroke, breast disease, cardiovascular imaging and 3D ultrasound imaging, respectively.
