Figure 1a: Color Doppler image of the right and main portal veins shows hepatopetal blood flow (towards the liver) in the main portal vein and hepatofugal blood flow (away from the liver) in the right portal vein branch.



Figure 1b: Color Doppler image of the confluence of the right and left portal veins shows helical flow that is flowing towards the left portal vein branch.



Figure 1c: Color Doppler image of a recanalized umbilical vein shows flow away from the liver indicative of a portosystemic shunt and portal hypertension.
