    Course Objectives

    After completing this course, the participant should be able to:

     

    1. Implement minimum ACR requirements for physicians performing ultrasound-guided breast biopsies.  
    2. Perform necessary pre-procedure planning for biopsying lesions in the breast based on pre-operative imaging and other patient-specific clinical situations. 
    3. Use best practices to maintain patient safety and minimize complications from an ultrasound-guided breast biopsy.

    Target Audience

    Physicians, sonographers and others who perform and/or interpret ultrasound.

    * AMA Category 1 credits are used by physicians and other groups like PAs and certain nurses.  Category 1 credits are accepted by the ARDMS, CCI and Sonography Canada.
