Course Objectives
After completing this course, the participant should be able to:
- Implement minimum ACR requirements for physicians performing ultrasound-guided breast biopsies.
- Perform necessary pre-procedure planning for biopsying lesions in the breast based on pre-operative imaging and other patient-specific clinical situations.
- Use best practices to maintain patient safety and minimize complications from an ultrasound-guided breast biopsy.
Target Audience
Physicians, sonographers and others who perform and/or interpret ultrasound.
