    Course Objectives

    After completing this course, the participant will be able to:

    1. Learn the types and etiologies of mitral regurgitation (MR).
    2. Understand the technical basics of MR evaluation with echocardiography.
    3. Learn the echocardiography criteria of MR evaluation.
    4. Relate the different types of MR severity.

    Target Audience

    Cardiologists, echocardiographers and others who perform and/or interpret echocardiography.

    * AMA Category 1 credits are used by physicians and other groups like PAs and certain nurses.  Category 1 credits are accepted by the ARDMS, CCI and Sonography Canada.
