Course Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant will:

  • Describe effects of ultrasound in living tissues
  • Define parameters allowing risk assessment
  • Enumerate findings in animals and humans, as described in the literature
  • List ways to minimize fetal exposure

Target Audience

  • Physicians, sonographers, and others who perform and/or interpret obstetrical ultrasound.
