Course Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant will:
- Describe the visceral and vascular sonographic anatomy of the abdomen
- Relate the vascular anatomic landmarks used for ultrasound interrogation of the central and upper abdomen
- Define the most common mesenteric, renal, and hepatic anatomic anomalies
- Discuss the optimal image planes employed for sonographic imaging of the mesenteric, renal, and hepato-portal vessels
Target Audience
- Physicians, sonographers, and others who perform and/or interpret ultrasound.
